
Traditions of burying dead and gifts put in the graves help to understand social–cultural structure of the era. It is possible to gain depths collinear in features such as production, technical, labor and decoration of grave gifts most of them worked on stones. These vary as stone vessels, axes, pestles, beads, stone tolls, mortars, strain stones, cutter–stabber tools. Mentioned findings that reflects similarities with tools that it is understood they are used in daily life, indicates substantial belief traditions are emerged in Körtik Tepe settlers. There is not any possibility to perceive these traditions in all its bearings and when possible rituals related to death and operations made on dead are taken as basic, at least concrete proofs related to existence of belief concerning continuation of life after the death came about. So each finds offers different approaches to social and cultural life and relations of residents of mound with production targets and usage types.
In the light of these, chance of perceiving competent cultural collections and belief traditions of residents is gained and all of these show Körtik Tepe‘s place and importance in without Pre-Pottery Neolithic A centers in region. Relations with known locations in region such as Hallan Çemi, Demirköy, Göbekli Tepe and Çayönü, firstly decorated and undecorated stone vessels, with perceiving in ground stone and chipped stone arts, differences bring about in some special foundings such as figural stone objects show that Körtik Tepe is representative of more developed culture. In other terms, Körtik Tepe that with Hallan Çemi takes place in possible earliest period of transition into settled order in Anatolia is representative of a community and unique culture that solved its shelter problem, made up social hierarchy, developed its traditional practice forms like burial of dead with direction of religious belief forms and created aesthetic values in special production area.
